I have been a principal and then the Director of Curriculum in St. Johns for over 13 years. No one on the current school board is a professional educator; I will fill that need for you! Teaching your children was a blessing. Let me continue to fight for you on the School Board to ensure the next generation is taught the basics. I have two grandchildren in St. Johns County Schools, and a daughter-in-law who is a computer resource teacher. I share your interest!

I was a principal right here in St. Johns County at Allen D. Nease High School for over 4 years. I have invested hours in before and after-school activities to ensure your students get an "A+" education.

Director of Elementary and Secondary Instructional Services

For over 9 years, I was responsible for making sure teachers knew what to teach and had the training and resources they needed. St. Johns is rated #1 in public schools largely because of the success of our teachers and their investment in our children.

Keeping Students Safe

My top priority is for students to get a great education in a safe environment, and I will support local first responders to make sure they have the resources they need to protect students. I also have experience partnering with the Department of Homeland Security on the National Incident Management System's active shooter scenarios and more.

Managing Tax Dollars

As a principal, I have always been a good steward of taxpayer money, and ensuring your child is taught the basics of Math, Science, History, and English. I will also ensure that your students have resources to be prepared for college, as well as vocational and technical programs. I will fight to cut wasteful spending, balance the budget, and put your family first. I understand that teacher pay is an important component of our budget process. As your elected Commissioner for Port, Waterways and Beaches Group 1, I have continued to increase public beach access, family activities, and safety!

My family is part of the U.S. Coast Guard Family. We have served on the East and West Coast of our great nation, and wherever my husband was stationed, I would find a school and teach and even completed my doctorate in Administration and Supervision and became a high school principal in Fairfax County, Virginia.  God and family are extremely important to me, but I love the beach, quilting, taking long walks and meeting friends along the way.
